JAY AMBROSY

PROFILE

From Houston, Texas Jay Ambrosy grew up playing for several clubs in the Houston area. He played for Albion under Mark Horton, before they became Albion Hurricanes. Ambrosy played collegiate soccer at Dallas Baptist University, earning All-American and All-Tournament honors while taking the team to the 2005 NCCAA National Tournament. Later he played D1 collegiate soccer at Houston Baptist University, earning a BA in Spanish and a minor in Biology.

Ambrosy played semi-professional with the Houston Leones PDL team in 2008 and 2009, earning All-Conference Honors in 2009. He currently plays for ASC New Stars in HFA. Winning the 2021 Men's Over 30 Region 3 Championship and 2021 Men's Over 30 National Championship.

Ambrosy started to take interest in coaching soccer in 2006 and took part as a volunteer for soccer camps in the Houston area before joining Westbury Soccer Club in 2013. In 2014, he became the Boys JV Soccer Coach at St. Thomas High School. He has coaches for several Houston clubs prior to joining AHFC on the coaching side.
