Amare Thomas was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. He started his college playing career at NJCAA D1 National Champions Monroe College for two years. Thomas then moved to NCAA D1 college Grand Canyon University for his Junior and Senior year. He graduated with a Bachelors in Sports Management. Shortly after his senior year, Thomas was selected to be entered into the 2016 MLS Superdraft where he was scouted and invited into preseason with Phoenix Rising. Within the same year Amare started his coaching career with Sereno Soccer Club. In 2017, he moved to NYC where he began coaching with Manhattan Soccer Club and was an Assistant Coach of Monroe College Men’s Soccer Team. WIth his drive for excellence and his passion for coaching youth sports, he decided to focus only on youth sports. More recently Amare worked with Success Academy Charter School’s as a Youth Soccer coach.
