Michael, originally from Newcastle, England, came to the states in 2006 following 3 years at Newcastle United F.C appearing in the U18 and making numerous appearances in the reserve team. He was registered with a squad number for the 2004-05 UEFA cup campaign for the first team although never made a first team appearance. Terrell came through the youth ranks with current England internationals Andy Carroll and Frazer Forster as well as Holland goalkeeper Tim Krul. Lucky enough to play against some world class players in the reserve team such as Wayne Rooney, James Milner, Gerard Pique and more. Recruited in 2006 to come to the states on a soccer scholarship, Michael attended the University of the Incarnate Word and played soccer there 2006-2009 achieving numerous first team all conference and all region awards. He captained the team for final 2 years and achieved an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Education during this time. Terrell on to become assistant coach at the University of the Incarnate word after playing, while achieving a 4.0 masters degree in Sports Management. He coached the Cardinals for 4 years before making the move to Albion the Fall of 2013.
